prints and posters post

hey all! here's a roller derby poster i just did for these girls in LA.
next there's a 1-color screenprint version of it, some bits of which were used in the final poster.

and it in LA somewhere (Meltdown Comics? thanks kat morris.)-

and here's the last screenprint i'd made. it was 5 colors: sky blue, teal, orange, black, and straight gloss. you can't see the gloss layer in low or indirect light. but point a camera flash at it and it suddenly gets really spooky for that kid. luckily he's got that ghost sword to protect him.

ok, that's all for now. hope you enjoy!

both look great, but the flashlight one is seriously awesome! i love the semi-interactive nature of it, i used to try and do that when I used to paint, but then i started animating and using computers....

how easy is it to replicate that effect tho? in terms of printing, cause... im highly intrigued right now.

it's actually super easy. i just printed straight gloss over black. i'm sure the lighter the colors you're printing on though the harder it can be seen. it barely showed up in the flash light ray, but that was cool too.
