See what I've been up to all year!

I finally updated my demo reel to show the last modge-podge year and a half of work I've been up to. This is just the animation and direction work, unfortunately there's none of the storyboarding work here. The song is from the Black lips. Enjoy!

I've got a few questions:

1. Is this 1080p? if not have you ever come across a situation where it needs to be? (I ask because even exercises for class i export at 1080p... for w/e reason)

2. Why didnt you include Superjail stuff and how'd you go about getting the footage for your reel? (i'm at Augenblick now, interning on Ugly Americans)

3. Do studios care if you only have a blog and not a full blown website w/ domain?

4. Would it be weird to label everything within the video itself? I remember your reel on YouTube noted like, inbetweening on Superjail, but I mean like... EVERYTHING.

Thanks in advance ;)

Nice stuff
I'm a student at SVA now and your name always comes up so I had to check you out.

Hey Nancy, thanks for checking it out!

JDW,
1. I always like to work in 1920x1080 for everything, this demo reel included. My final output 80% of the time is less, depending on how I'm showing it to people. But I think the quality is always better even if you scale down. For Vimeo, I went with 1440x?, since that was as good as they could screen.

2. I got rid of the Superjail stuff because I only inbetweened on it, and more work replaced it that I had a larger responsibility on. For obtaining footage, talk to the studio, it's always best to get their permission first, and most are pretty cool about it.

3. I've personally never liked websites, though a lot of people swear by them. My blog has worked okay, though I never show it to people as my portfolio, only supplemental work.

4. Of course you can, not a bad idea at all! Check out my friend Ian Jones Quartey's demo reel, its a perfect example:

Good luck dude! I hope the internship and SVA and treating you well!
